Scope & Content: A file of papers revolving around issues and matters concerning the House of Keys, including: the Keys' role as part of the Court of General Gaol Delivery, and a dispute over whether they have the right to sit on that court; the past judgements of the Keys in various legal appeals; their petition against the conduct of the Duke of Atholl, as Governor of the Isle of Man; and the High Road Bill; also present is an exhortation from the 10th Earl of Derby, asking the Manx clergy to encourage their parishioners to 'live soberly' and refrain from vice; along with a document listing the duties of the island's Coroners, and the fees and privileges granted to them in consequence of their office; the majority of the file's content is dated between 1822 and 1825 or relate to matters from that period.
