Scope & Content: A manuscript document containing a copy of the Duke of Atholl's speech to Tynwald, on 9 February 1824, which essentially accuses the House of Keys and their actions for the failure of the High Road Bill, the Registry Bill and the Commutation of Tithes Bill from progressing; the Duke also covers the Keys' role on the Court of General Gaol Delivery, and the Attorney General's residence; accompanying the speech is a copy of the House of Keys' application, requesting that the Keys be convened to discuss the Duke's speech, and a copy of the Duke's response to this request [see MS 09707/9/1029].
