Scope & Content: A manuscript extract taken from the 'Exchequer Book 1822,' containing a copy of a memorial from the 'proprietors and occupiers of lands, tenements and dwelling houses at the Bowling Green in the Parish of Malew' to Lieutenant Governor Cornelius Smelt; the memorialists declare that the road from Castletown to Derbyhaven has been undermind by the sea and there is an urgent need for it to be repaired, but there is no Committee of Highways to approach about the matter; therefore, the memoralists seek the appointment of a committee.
