Scope & Content: Typed statement listing the total number of articles made between 31 January 1918 and 27 February 1919 and recording that the resources (total of 2,281 items) were sent to the Red Cross, Lady Smith Dorrien['s Hospital Bag Fund] and various other hospitals. An average number of 9 members attended the working party's 56 meetings. Details are given of spending of donated money and how surplus material was dispersed. The balance of money was fowarded for the National Fund for Nurses, London.
The long list of articles made includes but is not limited to property bags (to safeguard wounded soldiers' valuables while they were in hospital), handkerchiefs, anti vermin pants and vests, chaff pads, operation stockings, hospital shoes, felt slippers, surgeons' veils and 'helpless case shirts'.
