Scope & Content: Illustrated article about a piece of artwork acquired at auction in New York in July 2023 which includes a biographical profile of the artist. Schreck spent time as an internee at Warth Mills (after Kempton Park) before being transferred to Onchan Camp, Isle of Man. Morgenroth records details of two general art exhibitions held in the camp (August 1940 and October-November 1940) as well as Schreck's solo exhibition there in April 1941 before giving details of Michael's artistic career from 1948 to 1999. The first appendix sets out a detailed time line for the internment and relocations of Michael, his wife and children between 1940 and 1941.
