Scope & Content: A note on the back of the print states that the image was taken at Dover around about 'D Day' and the date is given as 1944-1946. Various names and ranks are given on the front of the image but are quite patchy. They appear to read: Bobbie Kneale, Bride, (R Kneale 3rd Eng), (4th Eng) Capt Martyn?, (C Eng), 2nd Mate W Kissack, Carpenter P Karran?, A Kellie (2nd Engr), W A Cain (?Engr), Captain Philip James 'Ginger' Bridson (who was aboard HMS Malaya in WWI and took the Viking to Guernsey to evacuate the children in 1940), Mate S Gelling, Mate T Cubbon, Wireless operator J Davidson. A faint pencil note also reads 'Lambert Weston, Folkestone'.
