Administration / Biographical History: The resources are contributions from members of an 'Old Douglas' local history class run by Ann Harrison who was Librarian Archivist at the Manx Museum until 1991. Ann Harrison asked class members to pick an area in Douglas to research. Priscilla Lewthwaite did Glenlyon school as well as Nutford Place (the area where the Crescent cinema was) with Sylvia Mylchreest (for a full copy of their reserach see MS 15629). Stuart Slack started his research into registered deeds for his future book 'Streets of Douglas Old and New' (1996). Ann Kaighin and one or two others were also there but some faded off without finishing their research. Some had signed up to the class expecting lectures rather than actually doing the research themselves.
