Liptons Shop was where Dorothy Perkins/Waterstones is now in Strand Street, Douglas (March 2020). The shop was originally called the Maypole. (The building had previously been the Palais de Danse, which had a sprung dancefloor.) Liptons then moved to a new large retail unit at the bottom of Chester Street. It changed its name again to Presto and finally Safeway.

There was also a Liptons in Onchan Precinct, one in Michael Street, Peel and one in Parliament Street, Ramsey. Len Smith was the Ramsey store manager and Aileen Harrison the assistant manageress.
