Description: A wrap-over crazy patchwork dressing gown made using random shaped pieces of fabric, including cottons, woollens and velvets and sewn together using crazy patchwork techniques.
The crazy patchwork dressing gown was made by the donor's mother, Mrs Margaret Craine nee Watterson, of Ramsey, during the Second World War to show how the effects of fabric rationing and shortage could be overcome artistically. Mrs Craine died in 1950 aged 77.
