Fawn and green silk bodice

Description: Bodice in fawn silk with green silk (yoke and lower sleeve) lace overlay and heavy frill. Partly machine-sewn, boned. Upper sleeve full and stand-up collar.
The maker's name appears in gold on the waist tape, 'Mrs Callow / Dress and Mantle Maker / 8, Lezayre Terrace, Ramsey'.
The bodice is very well finished. Hook and eye fastenings go in alternate directions and eyes are buttonholed over.
Length centre 15 1/2 inch; underarm seam 8 1/2 inch; undersleeve seam 16 inch (with collar).
