Internee-made string bag
Date made: mid 20th century
Description: Pair of wooden handles, hand-knotted string bag with blue, salmon pink, pale blue grey and purple bands. Multicoloured tassel on one side, tassel missing on other side. Made with cotton string or cord. Given by Second World War internee to donor's husband Laurie Gerrard who was a butcher delivering meat to the camps, made by an internee.
