Pewter pointer dish
Date made: mid 18th century
Description: Pewter 'Pointer Dish' or Alms dish with the following inscription around its flat edge: "The gift of Mrs Catherine Halshall [sic] to God and the alter of Kirk Maliew [sic] Anno Domini 1745" Its diameter is 14 1/2 in. and it is stamped with four small marks in separate shields (1) fleur de lys (2) lion rampant (3) as no 1 (4) makers initials, first is a G, the other is illegible.
