Ballacamaish Hoard Replica Armlet
Date made: Viking: 800-1265
Description: Found by labourers whilst digging for marl. The group consisted of a fragment of a silver neck ring or torc made from four pairs of twisted rods in three pieces (1954-4398), two of which were joined by an 1800s repair (a detached terminal from this ring was also found), a fragment of a second similar silver torc and this penannular silver arm-ring made from three twisted rods, with truncated, knob-shaped terminals.
This is a replica, the original finds are in the collections of The British Museum.
