Head from a hedging spade

Description: Heavy iron spade head with square sided cutting blade narrowing slightly towards folded iron shaft socket. No handle. This was probably a hedge spade for digging sods.
This spade came from Ned Crowe's house. Ned Crowe was a stone-fence builder who died in 1939. He lived at Dreemlang above 'the Hibernian' by the Roan. This was probably a hedge spade for digging sods.
