Altered slate
Description: White, chalky to very finely sucrose, friable surfaces on dark grey slate. One very large sample (several centimetres in diameter) is very friable, light, white and appears to be chalky. The label says that it is "highly weathered slate of South Barrule" but it's not clear if this is refering to the formation or the location of collection. It is very unusual.
