Bryan Kneale RA (b.1930) is one of the most accomplished of the modern generation of Manx artists. In his early career he excelled as a painter, but later undertook a search for new direction, from which he emerged as a sculptor, having learnt the art of steel welding along the way. This abstract sculpture was presented in memory of the artist’s late father Mr W T Kneale (a former trustee of the Manx Museum).
