Stoneware flagon from D. Goldsmith & sons
Date made: mid 19th century
Description: A buff coloured stoneware flagon with impressed name in top section 'D. GOLDSMITH & SONS RAMSEY ISLE OF MAN' and in smaller fainter letters 'MANUFACTURED BURTON IN LONSDALE'. Goldsmith was in operation in the 1860s before the business merged to become a partnership.
Daniel Goldsmith, merchant, appears in Thwaite's Directory 1863, in business in Riversdale Street, Lezayre (Ramsey).
