Biography: John 'Jack' Waterson was before the First World War a police cadet in Castletown. He joined the Lancashire Fusiliers in September 1914, and went to France the following summer. He was later transferred to the Machine Gun Corps, and was killed in action on 3 November 1916. His name is also shown as Watterson. (Image ref: PG/13743/34).
