Biography: Age 27, John Douglas Aspen is a motor engineer and comes from Leeds. He has raced at Aintree, Charterhall, Catterick, Oulton Park, Rhydymwyn and other meetings, with firsts at Rhydymwyn and places elsewhere. Last year was his first "Manx" and he brought his B.S.A. into 48th place in the Senior race at 78.84 m.p.h. His machine is a 348 c.c. Gold Star with Taylor Dow fittings. Hobby: Model car racing.
