Age 31, a motorcycle dealer from Barnes, London SW. Charlie Bruguiere started racing in 1948, as a result of a visit the year before to the Island as mechanic to Ted Frend. His first event was the Circuit de Mettet, where he finished fifth in the 350 class. He stayed on the Continent for the rest of the season and returned there again in 1949 when, amongst other places, he gained a second in the 350 and a fifth in the 500 class at Chimay on a 350 Velocette.
He is entered by his firm, Bridge Motorcycles, and his AJS is a late 1950 7R, with 1951 modifications.
