Age 27, Fred Cook is again in the official New Zealand A.C.U. team in this year’s races. He is a farmer from Stratford on the North Island of New Zealand and has had experience of Clubman’s and air-strip racing in his home country.

He came to Europe for the first time in 1955, riding in the T.T. and various Continental meetings. He was 27th in the Junior T.T. and 18th in the Senior, winning two Silver Replicas.

Fred rides standard production racers and adds that he regards the Mountain Course as “the best I have ever seen”. He has a most unusual hobby – wild pig hunting.
