Biography: Mount: Senior – Norton
Age 31, Ronald Cousins comes from Barnsley, Yorks. and is a mechanic. This is his second visit to the Island, and he has had moderate success on the short circuits, with heat wins at Scarborough, Altcar, Oulton Park and Alton Towers, usually being placed in the finals.
His new Manx Norton proved troublesome even at the start of last year’s Senior race and he lost three minutes before setting off. The machine was not cured, however, and Ron’s Island debut came to a close on the first lap at Waterworks.

Age 35, Ronald Cousins comes from Barnsley, Yorks. This is his fourth visit to the Island, and he has had moderate success on the short circuits, with heat wins at Scarborough, Altcar, Oulton Park and Alton Towers, usually being placed in the finals.
In the 1956 Senior T.T. his mount proved troublesome even at the start and he lost three minutes before setting off. The machine was not cured, however, and Ron's Island debut came to a close on the first lap at Waterworks, and his luck was not much better in the 1957 Senior, for he had to retire on the third lap. He did not ride in the 1958 or '59 T.T. races, but he was back with us again last year when he finished 33rd in the Senior, with a Bronze Replica. Two months later he won a handicap race at Thornaby.
