Biography: Age 20, Randall Cowell is a lorry driver and comes from Douglas, Isle of Man. He has been scrambling since he was sixteen, but had only ridden in one race before last year's Junior M.G.P. —the Southern "100", in which he retired. In the "Manx", however. he came home 33rd at 81.73 m.p.h. Hobbies: Swimming and badminton. (Badminton seems a popular game with the Cowells!) (TT Special, 5 September 1961, p9)
