Roy Culshaw
Record type: Motorsport Biographies
Biography: Age 24, Roy Culshaw comes from Preston, Lancs., and is a fitter by trade but at the moment is doing his term of National Service. In 1958 he was 12th in the Southern "100" and 11th in the A.C.U. Clubman's Race at OuIton Park and was 9th (on a BSA) in the 350 c.c. Snaefell Race. This position gave him a ride in the Junior Manx, but he retired on the first lap with magneto trouble.
In 1959 he was 24th in the Junior at 84.58 m.p.h., but last year his luck was out, for he had to retire in the third lap of both Junior and Senior races. His machines for this year's races have been put at his disposal by E. Leigh of Southport, and are the actual ones that Fred Stevens rode in the T.T.
