Record type: Motorsport Biographies
Biography: Age 22, Cyril Davey is a design draughtsman (engineering) and comes from Borough Green, Kent.
His first race was at Brand's Hatch in May last year, and he finished 13th—but this was no ill omen for, at the same circuit last June, he won both the heat and the final of the 350 c.c. race, for which he was awarded the P. J. and A. Morrissey Trophy and two silver medallions. He has also been placed at Mallory Park and Snetterton.
Cyril's machine for this year's Junior is a 1961 model 40M of which he has just taken delivery; his mechanic is his twin brother. (TT Special, 5 September 1961, p10)
