Biography: Age 31, Fairclough is a colliery official, and comes from Barnsley, Yorkshire. He has been riding at short circuit meetings since 1951 and has competed at Cadwell Park, Char-terhall, Kirkby Mallory and Snetterton. He finished 54th in the 1959 Senior Manx, and stepped up a few places last year -- 50th at 78.24 rn.p,h. His machine Is a 1953 G45 which he bought in 1956 from B.J.
