Biography: Age 26, Harry Gibson is a furrier from Ilford, Essex, who had previous road racing experience at most English circuits. His first appearance in the Isle of Man was last year when he rode a BSA in the 500 cc Newcomers race. He finished 13th in this event at 78.96 mph and so qualified for a ride in the Senior MGP in whcih he came home 39th at 78.54. He often used the BSA which he raced last year for riding to work.
