Biography: Mount: Lightweight— Guzzi

Age 23, a radio engineer from Oxford, W. G. Hutt started racing in Germany while in the Army there at the end of the war. Since demobilisation he has competed at various short circuit events including Ansty, Haddenham, Silverstone, Blandford, Thruxton, etc. In the 250 class he has secured a second and two thirds at Blandford and Thruxton.

He made his first appearance in the Island in 1950 when he rode in the Junior Clubman's T.T. on a Douglas, finishing 32nd after a slow first lap due to carburetter trouble.

He is entered by the Oxford Motor Racing Club, and the Guzzi is the same “Albatross” model on which Austin Munks and Dickie Dale won the Lightweight Manx Grand Prix in 1947 and 1949 respectively.
