Biography: Age 30, R. Masson is a draughtsman and comes from Sutton Coldfield, Warwickshire. He has had experience at various short circuits and first rode on the Mountain Course in the 1957 350 c.c. Newcomers' Race. He finished 18th in this, and qualified for a ride in the Junior Manx Grand Prix the following day, coming home 39th. In 1958 he rode Nortons in both Junior and Senior M.G.P. races, finishing 38th in the Junior at 79.52 m.p.h., but retiring in the Senior; he did not ride in the Manx races in 1959, but he was back again last year, coming home 45th in the Senior race at 80.03 m.p.h.
