Age 35, Ronald D. McCutcheon is a motor trade salesman, and comes from Wigtown, Scotland.
He turned “International” last year, having ridden in the Junior Clubman’s T.T. of 1951. Previously he had won the 500 c.c. class of the Cookstown “100” on a Vincent, being fourth—from scratch—in the General Handicap.
In 1952 he was second in the 350 c.c. class of the South of Scotland Sand Racing Championship, and winner of the South West of Scotland grass track 500 c.c. Championship.
In last year’s Lightweight T.T. he was 18th, on an Excelsior, at a speed of 65.56 m.p.h. Riding his Velocette, he was winner of the 250 c.c. class at the An Tostal races at Dublin, early this May.
