Biography: Age 28, Gilberto Milani is a mechanic, and comes, as one might expect, from Milan, Italy. In 1959 he won the 125 c.c. race at Opatya, Czechoslovakia, and was third in the 250 c.c. class, but in 1960 he had a spell in hospital and only rode in three races, with a fifth in the 250 c.c. class at Monza. This year he has already scored a third in the 250 c.c. race at Modena and a fourth in the same class at St. Wendell.
