Biography: Age 31, G. A. Northwood is motor cycle agent from Trench, Shropshire, who has ridden in the Clubman's races on several occasions. His first Island appearance was in 1949, when he rode a 250 c.c. M.O.V. Velocette into ninth place in the Clubman's Lightweight T.T.

In 1953 he came back again, this time to ride a B.S.A. in the Junior Clubman's, finishing 28th. In 1954 in the same race, he was 20th.

In 1955 he rode for the first time as an "International" and was 47th on a B.S.A., in the Junior T.T., but retired on the same machine in the Senior race. He was a non-starter in both 1956 Junior and Senior races—and retired in both in 1957, but in 1958 he finished in both of them, 48th in the Junior and 47th in the Senior. In 1959, he retired on the sixth lap of the Junior, but came home 21st in the Senior on his 350 c.c. Norton, whilst last year, on the same machine, he finished 53rd in the Junior T.T. and 40th in the Senior. (TT Special, 16 June 1961, p. 7)
