Age 39, a Gilera representative and professional racing motorcyclist from Milan, Nello Pagani has many successes to his credit, both in his native Italy and in other countries on the Continent.
In 1949 he won the, Dutch T.T., both 125 and 500 c.c. classes, and the Grand Prix of Nations at Monza. He was third in the Ulster Grand Prix, fourth in the Swiss Grand Prix and fifth in the Belgian Grand Prix, all on 500 c.c. Gilera machines. In addition, he won the 125 class at the Swiss Grand Prix and became World Champion in that class.
His successes in 1950 included first places in the 500 classes at Pau and Barcelona, where he was also victor in the 125 class. In the Belgian Grand Prix and Dutch T.T. he was runner-up in both the 500 class.
He is riding one of the works Mondials.
