Biography: Age 24, Brian Ernest Park is an engineer and comes from North Shields. He started racing two years ago, he says, "as a hobby; now it has become an obsession." He has already ridden at Catterick, Charterhall, Kircaldy, Oulton, Thornaby, etc., and has qualified for the finals at all these circuits. He rode a 1959 B.S.A. Gold Star in last year's Senior M.G.P., but had to retire on the third lap. His machine for this year's Senior is "a long awaited" 1961 Manx Norton. Hobbies: "Was keen on gliding and model aircraft until the motor cycle bug bit—now no time for anything except motor cycles."

Age 23, Brian Ernest Park is a machine tool setter, and comes from North Shields. He started racing this season, he says, “as a hobby; now it has become an obsession.” He has already ridden at Catterick, Charterhall, Kirkcaldy, Oulton and Thornaby, and has qualified for the final or fastest fifteen in all events but one.

His machine is a DBD34 Gold Star which be bought new last June when he was in the R.A.F. After it had done 14,000 miles on the road he prepared it for racing, with full racing conversions. Hobbies: “Was keen on gliding and model aircraft until the motor cycle bug bit – now no time for anything except motor cycles.”
