Age 21, Nicholas Ronald Parkinson is a sheetmetal and coppersmith, and comes from Welwyn Garden city, Herts. This is his first full season of racing, but he has already scored two firsts in a Silverstone Club Handicap, and a heat-second and final-fourth at Cadwell. Last May he was awarded the Motor Cycling Cup for the must outstanding performance in the three Club Handicaps at the Silverstone Saturday meeting. His machine is a modified 1956 Gold Star, previously owned by Ken Douglass, who rode it into ninth place in the 1957 Senior Newcomer's Race.
