Biography: Age 32, Eric Pickup is a motor cycle dealer and lives at Timperley, Cheshire. He has had 14 years' experience of racing, including grass and sand, but has raced sidecars for a couple of years only. In 1958, he scored wins at Aintree, Charterhall and Oulton Park, and in 1959 he entered for the Sidecar T.T., but was a non-starter.
Last year he entered for the Sidecar T.T. again, and this time he did start, only to retire on the second lap. He was second on his B.M.W. in the 500 c.c. Sidecar Scratch race at Snetterton. (TT Special, 16 June 1961, p. 8)
