Biography: Age 37, an engineer, of Patchway, near Bristol, Joseph Potter's first road race was the 1947 Junior "Manx". He finished in this event but retired in the Senior of the following Thursday. Entered int he 1948 Junior T.T. but crashed at Handley's Corner in practice and was a non-starter on Race Day.
His machine for this year's Junior is a standard "Manx" Norton which started life in 1938. It has now been brought up-to-date with telescopic forks, square heads, etc.
