Biography: Age 28, August Rohsiepe comes from Gelsenkirchen where he works in his father's business, the B.V. Petrol Company. He has been riding in trials and races for about ten years and in 1959 was German National Sidecar Champion - a title which Helmut Fath won from him last year! - and he was the first. private owner to win the Championship.

August did not have much luck last year, owing to engine and gear-box failures, his best places being second in the Yugoslavian T.T., with fourths at Freiburg, Barcelona and Scarborough. Hobby: Ski-ing. (TT Special, 16 June 1961, p.13.)
