Biography: Age 25, Harold Scholes is a company director and comes from Rochdale, Lancs. This is his first T.T. race, and he is his own entrant. His machine is ex-Bill Beevers, and Harold purchased it about eight months ago.

Harold had a very good weekend in Scotland last Whitsuntide. At Kircaldy on the Saturday, he won the Unlimited Sidecar race, whilst at Charterhall the following day he won both the 500 and 1,000 c.c. Sidecar Scratch races—all on his B.M.W., of course. (TT Special, 16 June 1961, p. 16.)
