Biography: Age 26, John Simmonds is a clerk, and comes from Wandsworth Common, London S.W.11. Last year's Senior T.T. was his first race on the island, but he had had experience of short circuit work since 1957, and has finished within the first six on most British circuits. He rode a Matchless in last year's Senior T.T. but was a "non-finisher" being "flagged off".
