Biography: Age 23, Brian Smith is a chef, and comes from Preston, Lancs. He has raced on several short circuits including Aintree, Cadwell, Charterhall, Mallory Park and Oulton Park and in the I.o.M. Southern "100", finishing in every race except one. His machine was bought new, in Club-man's trim, and he has done all the work on it himself except a couple of welding jobs. Hobbies — quite a lot of them:—Morris dancing. basket making, camping and traditional jazz.
