Biography: Age 23, Ron Stretch is a plumber and comes from St Helens, Lancs. He has gained road racing experience over the past four years at Oulton Park, Altcar, Rhydymwyn, Aintree and Kirkby Mallory and made his first appearance in the Isle of Man in 1956. He was 31st in the Junior event and 41st in the Senior, riding on an AJS. Riding the same machine last year he was 13th in the Junior at 82.85 mph (replica) but retired in the third lap of the Senior.
