Biography: Age 23, K.H. Tostevin is a motor cycle mechanic. He is a Channel Islander and comes from Guernsey. He began racing five years ago and was winner of both 350 cc and 500 cc classes at a Guernsey hill climb, repeating his 'double' the following year, and adding a first at Bouley Bay International Hill Climb at Jersey (350 cc class).

He tried his hand on the short circuits a year later, and was 12th in the 500 cc final at Crystal Palace. He was 54th on a Velocette in the 1955 Junior TT, winning a bronze replica. In April 1955 he competed in the Jersey flying quarter mile sprints, being placed second in the 350 cc (petrol) class and winning the 500 cc (petrol) class, in which he set up a new record at 115.58 mph. He was 37th in the Junior TT and 12th in the 500 cc Ulster GP. In 1956 he was 15th in the 250 cc race at Floreffe, Belgium and came 21st in the Senior TT; having retired on Lap 2 in the Junior. Last year he won 'Silvers' in both Junior and Senior TT races - finishing 21st in the Junior and 18th in the Senior.
