Age 26, Ralph Wijesinghe is an experimental officer with British Dialectric Research; he is an official entry of the Ceylon Motor Cycle Club.

Using a 350 c.c. B.S.A. in both Junior and Senior T.T. races last year, he retired in the Junior, but finished 44th in the Senior. He also rode in the Ulster Grand Prix, being 30th in the 350 c.c. race.

This is his first appearance in the T.T., his previous experience being confined to racing in Ceylon, where he was winner in 1952 and 1953 of both Senior and 1,000 c.c. Championships, He is using a 350 c.c. B.S.A. Gold Star in both events.
