Biography: Age 29, Peter Bettison is a clothing factory manager, and comes from Chorlton-cum-Hardy near Manchester. He has had five years experience of short circuit racing "with occasional success" and has ridden in half-a-dozen trials with "no success." Last year was his first "Manx" and he won a Replica in the Junior race by finishing 24th at 84.35 m.p.h.
