Biography: Age 23, Hayden Bisbey is a metallurgist and comes from Heath Hayes, near Cannock, Staffs. He started racing in 1958 and competed at Aberdare, Aintree, Brands Hatch, Kirkby Mallory and Oulton Park. Since then he has had experience of other circuits and in 1958 he practised for the 350 c.c. Snaefell race. Unfortunately he was a non-starter in the race itself for, owing to the postponement of the event from the Saturday to the Monday, he was back at work !
He was unlucky again in 1959 for he retired at Sulby on the fifth lap of the Junior when the con-rod came out for a breath of air; and last year his luck was out once more, for he had to retire on the first lap of the Junior "Manx" at the same place! He writes: "I'm hoping to get past Sulby six times this year." (TT Special, 5 September 1961, p.8)
