Age 38; a motorcycle dealer of London, North, Ernest Braine has had a long experience of trials and grass track races. He rode a Norton in the 1946 M.G.P. finishing twenty-ninth. Rode Nortons again in both Junior and Senior M.G.P.’s in1947, finished 53rd in the Junior, but retired in the Senior on the second lap.
Turned “international” in 1948 and rode Nortons again in both Junior and Senior races. Retired in the Junior on the second lap but finished 23rd in the Senior.
Last year he rode an A.J.S. in the Junior and a Norton in the Senior. In the Junior race he finished 65th at 71.53 m.p.h. and gained a second-class replica, but in the Senior event he retired on the third lap.
He is entered for both races by Banks of Harringay.
