Biography: Age 26, Richard John Brinnand is a wholesale meat salesman from Shrewsbury. He has had experience of trials and short circuit racing, and finished 28th in the 1956 Junior Clubman's. Last year he rode in the 350 cc. Newcomer's race and retired on the last lap when running fifth, only just over a minute behind the leader and ultimate winner, D. Pratt. He won the Newcomer's Award in the recent IoM Southern 100.
