Biography: Age 25, Lawrence Brown is a motor cycle fitter and comes from Hull. This is his fourth season of racing and his experience until last year has mainly been on B.S.A.'s. He then acquired from Joe Potts the 1957 Norton which was ridden by Bob McIntyre that year and by Alastair king in 1958. He rode it in last year's Junior Manx Grand Prix, but was unlucky enough to crash on the fifth lap.
Lawrence has had plenty of experience at short circuits, including Catterick, Oulton, Scarborough and Thornaby, and last year was fourth in the 350 c.c. class of the Tandragee "100" in Ireland. His machine for the Junior T.T. is the same Norton that he rides in the Manx, and he is entered by Brown's (Witham) Ltd., of Hull. Hobbies: Music and gramophone records.
