Biography: Age 28, Frank Burgess is a test and development engineer and comes from Wigan. He is a regular competitor at Oulton Park, Aintree and Silverstone and has made other appearances at Brough, Snetterton, Brand's Hatch, Altcar and Aberdare. His Island experience covers the 1954 Clubman's TT and the 1955 Manx, when he was 39th in the Junior race and 40th in the Senior. In 1956 he finished 30th in the Junior. He rode in both Manx races in 1957, but was unlucky, retiring on the fourth lap of the Junior and the last lap of the Senior. Last year he retired again in the Junior Manx - on the fourth lap - but finished 34th in the Senior on his 350 Norton.
